Junior Freelance Music Writers/Journalists Wanted (Western Cape) for Online Music Magazine

We are an online music magazine, focusing specifically on high quality South African music from indie rock to kwaito, from electro to metal.

We are looking for 6 people from around the country who would like to contribute articles to the site. We are particularly interested in getting articles from Johannesburg and Cape Town but anyone who lives in an area where there is an active music scene is welcome to apply.

As the company has just started, the freelance position is unpaid but would be perfect for a journalism student or anyone who is keen to get articles published. For now the perks would include free entrance to concerts or events that we would like to cover as well as free cds that need to be reviewed. As the company grows we will be able to begin to pay for articles.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Passionate about music.
- Confident, humorous writing style.
- Comfortable with interviewing celebrities.
- Internet access.
- Motivated self-started able to find stories to write about.

Previous journalism experience or a journalism qualification is a bonus but not a requirement.
