The Role:

Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced government and economy reporter to join our expanding team in Egypt. The successful candidate will cover breaking political and economic news, legislation before parliament, statistical indicators, the central bank and foreign policy. They will also propose and write features that explain and illustrate the political and economic situation to a global audience. The job will require travelling to major events by politicians and economy officials. Candidates must have a strong understanding of 'political risk;' how politics influences markets and companies.

Responsibilities also include attending press briefings, working evenings and weekends when required, monitoring other media, and writing news summaries.

Requirements:

- Ability to write accurately, quickly and concisely under deadline pressure.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is desirable.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
