A vacancy has arisen for an experienced journalist to join our team in Johannesburg.
Requirements
- An appropriate journalism diploma or degree essential.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Superb grasp of the English language and the ability to write and rework text quickly and professionally.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Substantial journalistic and managerial experience in a newspaper newsroom or in a magazine environment (five years or more).
- Experience in seeing publications through to print would be an advantage.
- Experience working in web-based environments and in online journalism would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated, solid journalistic and writing skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Highly computer-literate (internet, word processing); experience with working on back-ends of websites would be useful.
- Good time management skills.
