Job description

Flow Communications is a fast-growing communications agency that delivers total web and print communication solutions through compelling writing, elegant design and appropriate technology.
We work with quality clients in diverse fields who require high-end journalistic skills in print and online media.

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced journalist to join our team in Johannesburg.

Requirements

  • An appropriate journalism diploma or degree essential.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Superb grasp of the English language and the ability to write and rework text quickly and professionally.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Substantial journalistic and managerial experience in a newspaper newsroom or in a magazine environment (five years or more).
  • Experience in seeing publications through to print would be an advantage.
  • Experience working in web-based environments and in online journalism would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated, solid journalistic and writing skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Highly computer-literate (internet, word processing); experience with working on back-ends of websites would be useful.
  • Good time management skills.

  • Applicants should be proactive, able to solve problems, organised and team-oriented.
