Vacancy: Junior Journalist/ Writer for Fabmags.co.za

Location: Dolphin Coast, South Africa

Job Type: Fulltime

The position involves researching and writing about lifestyle and community news and trends. The writer will also contribute to our www.ballitonews.co.za site as well.

This is a junior level post, ideal for a candidate who has been a reporter or editorial assistant, with 1-2 years experience -- or a new graduate with experience on a school or college newspaper or publication.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in story writing and lifestyle in general. An understanding of the the magazine industry would be ideal. Our staff is small and collaborative, and our pace is quick, so the successful candidate will be a self-starter. A foundation in journalism fundamentals is essential, as is the ability to multi-task and perform under very tight deadlines, with minimal supervision. There may be some potential for travel to cover theme topics nationally, but this will limited . Experience with Microsoft Word is essential.

Salary is R7000.00 per month.
