The successful candidate's main responsibility will be to work closely with the editorial and publishing teams to maintain and evolve the brands' online and social media presence. Strong English writing and editing skills are essential, coupled with a passion and interest for restaurants and food in general. He/she should also need to be organised, meticulous and enterprising.
Required skills
• Strong journalistic skills: writing, editing and proofreading
• Excellent computer skills: Windows, MS Office, MS Outlook
• Design skills: basic Photoshop proficiency
• Thorough knowledge of the Internet, facebook and twitter
• Good written communication and organisational skills
• Creative brainstorming and strategic abilities
Additional skills that will be an added advantage
• HTML editors
• Basic knowledge of digital video and camera usage
• SEO
Duties
• Generate/Collate good quality content for various online projects, including the weekly e-newsletter
• Subbing and proofreading of articles, and restructuring to suit various digital channels
• Web maintenance: updating content, basic layout and design, uploading pages.
• Development of concepts and the practical implementation of ideas for potential projects, online marketing material, competitions and research.
• Implement and manage campaigns and competitions
• Reporting of all campaigns, competitions and monthly website statistics
Requirements:
• An appropriate tertiary qualification
• Or at least two years relevant experience and a proven track record
