This year's theme is One Simple Wish. The contest is open to everyone in the community and is not limited to Central Arizona College students.
The deadline for submission of poems is Thursday, Feb. 17, at 9 p.m. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 22, during halftime of the Central Arizona College women's basketball game vs. Yavapai. Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Signal Peak Campus.
To submit an entry for consideration, please e-mail the poem to Barrington Campbell at barrington.campbell@centralaz.edu. Please send the poem as an attachment in MS-Word.
Entries also may be submitted in person at the Learning Center located on the Signal Peak Campus. All entries should include name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
The first-place winner will receive $100 prize, while the second-place recipient will receive $60. Third place will receive $30. Each winner also will receive a trophy.
