North Central State College, The Ohio State University-Mansfield and Ashland University College of Nursing is sponsoring a Black History Month Poetry Contest.
The contest is open to local high school students and NC State, OSU-Mansfield and AU College of Nursing students. The maximum number of poems per contestant is two. The winner will recieve $100.
Poems should be no longer than one typed single-spaced page on standard 8.5 x 11 paper and may be written in any style.
Each poem must include your name, phone number and the name of the high school or college/university you attend.
Poems can be mailed to: Prof. Noah Comet, OSU-Mansfield, 1760 University Drive, Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
Poems can also be emailed as a Word for Windows document file attachment to: comet.2@osu.edu.
Poems must be emailed or postmarked no later than Jan. 28.
The winner of the contest will be notified by Feb. 11 and will be invited as an honored guest to the annual Soul Food Dinner on Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. at the NCSC/OSU-Mansfield campus.
