tvplus has a vacancy for an experienced journalist with knowledge of and passion for entertainment and celebrities. The candidate will be responsible for generating feature ideas and researching and writing good articles within the demanding deadlines of a fortnightly magazine.
In addition the ideal candidate should have:
At least two years' experience in a newspaper or magazine environment
Have a good knowledge of general news events and the entertainment world
Be able to generate ideas to fit the tvplus target market
Ensure all articles are interesting, topical and relevant to the tvplus target market
Be honest and accurate when reporting
Be self-disciplined and capable of working independently but also as a member of a team based in another city.
Show initiative, and be dedicated, responsible and accountable
Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Be prepared to work irregular hours and attend after-hours functions
