Job Opening: Junior Editor for Worldtravel.com (Foxley Media, South Africa)

Remuneration: R8000 - R10000 per month basic salary

City: Cape Town

Job description

The Junior Editor will support the editorial team for both Word Travels and Expat Arrivals with fact checking, proofing, researching and writing travel related information

The job does not involve international travel (sorry!) and is based full time in our office in Gardens, Cape Town

Wordtravels.com publishes destination guides to the world, receiving over 1 million visitors monthly. Expatarrivals.com publishes information for those moving or living abroad and is read by over 100,000 people monthly.

Requirements

- Must love hard work more than watching the clock
- Have an eye for detail, ability to update factual info
- Be able to write concise, flawless copy
- Have a knack for sourcing and researching information online
- Should be interested in travel, and have traveled a bit
- Have a can-do mindset, and willingness to support the editorial team

Personal Skills/Attributes

You should like reading, and writing (very few people do). You should have an understanding of the travel industry, how the internet works, and SEO.
