Proposal Writer (Four-year Contract Appointment with Service Benefits)

The Development & Alumni Relations Division builds relationships with alumni, friends and donors of Stellenbosch University in order to grow their involvement with and investment in the University.
Duties
* Writing, editing and packaging project proposals to raise funds for strategic projects and programmes of the University;
* liaising with project leaders and others involved on campus about the needs, content, form, appearance and target market;
* writing, editing and packaging annual progress reports to donors;
* providing regular feedback to all parties involved on the progress made with fundraising for the relevant projects;
* writing, translating and editing official documents, letters and other forms of communication from the Office for Development & Alumni Relations.
Job Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualification(s);
* ability to conceptualise projects;
* ability to write logically and analytically in English according to target market requirements;
* excellent computer skills pertaining to word processing and presentations (MS Office);
* additional relevant computer proficiency (internet searches and basic web applications);
* superior communicative skills.
Recommendation
Proven knowledge and experience pertaining to development and fundraising processes in a Higher Education environment.
