Job Description
* Creating original works especially articles
* Proposing topics about which to write or receiving assignments;
* Gathering information about the topic;
* Selecting and organizing the material he or she has gathered;
* Revising or rewriting material;
* Develop story or content ideas, considering reader or audience appeal
* Confer with management and editorial staff members regarding placement and emphasis of developing news stories.
* Assign topics, events and stories to individual writers or reporters for coverage.
* Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Knowledge Requirements
English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Computers - Must have very good computer typing skills
Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.
Originality - The ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem.
Thinking Creatively - Developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships.
Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work - Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
Educational Requirements
A Diploma or Degree in Literature, Journalism, Mass Communication, or any Liberal Arts Course
Must have very good writing skills
