• Managing a team of writers, both in-house and outsourced. This will include:
o Managing team performance
o Taking accountability for the team's output
o Compiling and communicating project briefs for writers
• Writing and publishing content for a health and wellbeing website, as well as for email, print and other media types
• Ensuring the quality of content that is published online each week
• Maintaining the quality, accuracy and relevance of all published content
• Working closely with other editors, design and IT teams
• Project managing
The successful applicant will have the following traits:
• A journalism degree/diploma
• At least three years writing experience
• Understanding of health and relevant terminology
• Excellent writing skills
• Good understanding of online publishing
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Competency in Adobe InDesign
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good organisational, planning and time management skills
• Some managerial experience
