The £1,000 Burlington International Contemporary Writing Prize 2012

The Burlington Contemporary Writing Prize, to be awarded annually, seeks to discover talented young writers on contemporary art. The Prize winner will receive £1000, and will have the opportunity to publish a review of a contemporary art exhibition in The Burlington Magazine.

Submissions requirements

Applicants must submit one unpublished review of a contemporary art exhibition, no more than 1000 words in length (and may be illustrated if desired). The submitted review must be written in English, although the art considered may be international. Applicants must be under the age of 30 (proof of age may be required). Entries must be emailed as a Word document - clearly stating the name, age, country of residence and occupation of the applicant - to editorial@burlington.org.uk

Deadline

The submission deadline for the 2012 Prize is Tuesday 31st January 2012.

Submissions will be assessed by a panel of judges from The Burlington Magazine and specialists in contemporary art. The Prize winner will be announced in April 2012.
