Job Opening: Content Editor for Campus Daily Online (Nigeria)

The Content Editor will be responsible for the creation of editorial content for a youth-driven website and magazine focused on the educational sector.

Candidates should be experienced in contacting and interviewing experts and news makers, as well as skillful in crafting entertaining and insightful evergreen content.

Responsibilities

* Update News Website daily with news or feature content related to Youths and Students. Interviews with industry experts about key issues/trends. Plan, manage, and implement an editorial strategy to build a comprehensive learning section online audience
* Develop and manage relationships with freelance writers.
* Write in-depth reviews of popular topical issues (1 to 2 per week)
* Contribute to newsletter as needed

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 1-3 years of journalism experience, preferably in an online setting as well as print
* The ability to work quickly and independently under tight deadlines.
* Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English or a related field, required.
* Basic knowledge of HTML and content management systems or blogging, social media applications
* Experience in writing stories related to youth and campus life.
