Job Opening: Features Writer for COSA Media (South Africa)

COSA Media, which publishes trade magazine RISKSA www.risksa.com, is seeking to recruit a features writer to cover the insurance industry. He or she will have a passion for business journalism, feature writing, analysis and news gathering. They will be able to hit the ground running and delve deep into the insurance sector to produce exclusive and interesting financial stories in print and online.

The successful candidate will be comfortable interviewing CEOs and other major decision makers in the industry and have great editing and writing skills to boot. He or she will also be able to build contacts at senior levels within the insurance industry. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented and have respect for deadlines.

The successful applicant will also contribute to and edit COSA Media's other titles, which include local consumer magazine City and newly launched trade publication RISKAFRICA.

Requirements

Experience of financial or general news journalism on a B2B publication, local or national newspaper, is a strong advantage. Entrants must have at least two years experience working for a reputable organisation (print or online). Candidates must also possess a relevant diploma/degree in journalism/media studies.
