Job Opening: Writer/ Journalist for B2B Publications (Supermarket & Retailer, South Africa)

An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced print media journalist to write features in two B2B publications in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

The successful applicant must have a Journalism or Media Studies degree, be computer literate and have their own transport.

Main responsibilities include:

1. Research, identify and write a variety of accurate articles in the news and features genres to deadline
2. Attend and report on industry events
3. Work closely with the editor and publisher

Company Description:

Well-established FMCG trade magazine publisher, situated in North Eastern Johannesburg.

Requirements for interview shortlist:

1. Send a short explanation as to why you would make the best person for this specific job.

3. In order to qualify for an interview, please choose a recent news article and relate it to the supermarket trade in an easy-to-read and interesting manner (250 words).

Advantageous

Experience in writing features to some or all of these sectors: FMCG and economics.

Personal Skills/Attributes

Must show initiative, be able to cope under pressure, have good communication skills and be able to deal with people at all levels - from CEOs to spaza shop owners.
