Swahili and French Translators Needed for Feature Documentary

We are a small indie film company that's looking for multilingual individuals fluent in French and Swahili to translate and transcribe footage shot in the Democratic Republic of Congo and other central African countries for a low-budget documentary on a controversial and sensitive subject.

Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in Swahili, French and English.
  • Must be detail-oriented, results-driven, and able to work against deadlines.
  • Must have official status to work in the U.S.
  • Must be based in the NYC metropolitan area.
  • Some experience preferred.
  • Honesty and integrity are essential.

Compensation:

Payment is 10 cents per transcribed word, excluding indefinite articles (a/an) and definite articles (the).
