Job Opening: Business Journalist for Now Media (South Africa)

This journalist will be responsible for generating news and feature articles for a well established, weekly business-to-business publication in the freight and transport industries. This senior journalist is needed for regular part time work. They must be able to work without supervision. They will be responsible for developing sources networking, generating story ideas and cover events. They may need to assist in the editing process and participate in developing a seamless production process.

Note: Please include copies of three published articles. Please also send a 250 word article on the key issues impacting economic growth in 2012.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Journalism degree
  • English first language
  • Minimum five years' experience in business writing and news reporting
  • Excellent writing, self editing and verbal communication
  • Accurate, reliable and detail oriented
  • Persistent and resourceful
  • Good general knowledge
Driver's licence and own vehicle.
