Job Opening: Fashion Editor for Fairlady (South Africa)

Women's interest division (Fairlady) has a vacancy for a fashion editor in its Cape Town office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conceptualising, writing and producing the fashion pages in line with Fairlady's editorial style and strategy

• Organising and styling of fashion shoots including briefing of photographers, artists' and models

• Developing client relations

• Representing the magazine at media events

TO BE CONSIDERED YOU MUST HAVE:

• A tertiary qualification and at least three year's working experience in a relevant field (magazine experience an advantage)

• A good understanding of the fashion requirements of Fairlady's target market

• Excellent organisational abilities

• A valid driver's licence

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• A passion for the fashion industry

• Innovative thinking and creative flair to interpret trends and present them appropriately to the target market

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• The ability to work in a team

• An even temperament and the ability to work under pressure and deal with diverse personalities and situations

• The willingness and ability to work overtime when required

• Ability to meet deadlines
