Nego Poetry Corner's vision is to raise reader leaders and a new breed of poets/writers. It would like to encourage writers/poets by giving them a platform and eventual reward.

Guidelines to Contestants
  • Submit a self written poem/short story, multiple entries allowed
  • Any poem or short story not written by self will be DISQUALIFIED, as other entries by same contestant will be considered INVALID.
  • Qualified entries will be published on this site.
  • All entries must encourage people living with HIV and AIDS, and address society.
  • Entry submission closes on the 20th of May 2012 by midnight
  • Qualified entries will be published on this site on 22nd by midnight.
  • Only students from universities, polytechnics and colleges of education in Nigeria, are eligible for the contest.

Title: HIV AIDS not a death sentence

Contest date: 26th May 2012

Contest venue: Main Auditorium UNIBEN, Ugbowo Campus.

Contest time: 9:30 AM Prompt, Red Carpet begins at 9:00 AM.

Admission is free.

Ist Prize:
  • Earn the NEGO title of the year
  • $500 scholarship
  • A space in NEGO Media Production
  • Branded NEGO t-Shirt
  • Publication of a self written piece in the NEGO Anthology
  • Electronic information sourcing material

2nd Prize:
  • $300 scholarship
  • A space in NEGO Media Production
  • Branded NEGO t-Shirt
  • Publication of a self written piece in the NEGO Anthology
  • Electronic information sourcing material

3rd Prize:
  • $200 scholarship
  • A space in NEGO Media Production
  • Branded NEGO t-Shirt
