Black Fathers Hall of Fame's 4th Annual Father's Day Essay Contest (US)

Deadline: 15 June 2012

It's not easy being a father, because fatherhood comes with great responsibility, dedication, obligation, and commitment. In the spirit of celebrating the great contributions that fathers have made to their children's lives, the Black Fathers Hall of Fame is holding an essay contest in which sons and daughters can write an essay about their father, submit it online, and have a chance to win great prizes.

The winners will be announced on Saturday, June 16, 2012 on BCNN1.com, UrbanChristianNews.com, and BlackFathersHallofFame.com. Contestants must submit an essay of approximately 300 words, including their father's name, their age, and a picture of their dad (if available). The submission deadline for the contest is Friday, June 15, 2012 at 12:00 Noon Eastern Time.

The Grand Prize winner will receive the following:

* A $50 Wal-mart Gift Card
* A free copy of "Uncommon Manhood," by Tony Dungy
* A free copy of "God Has Smiled on Me," by Daniel Whyte III
* A free Father's day photo frame
* Essay placement on BCNN1.com and UrbanChristianNews.com

The Black Fatherhood Foundation's mission is to encourage black fathers to stay with their children and raise them effectively. It is also the parent organization of Black Fatherhood Today Magazine and the Black Fathers Hall of Fame.
