Job Opening: Agricultural Journalist for MFarm (Kenya)

Due to our continued success and plans for growth in 2012, here at MFARM LTD, we have a vacancy for an Agricultural Journalist.

Working as part of the MFARM LTD dedicated team, you will carry on the publication’s tradition of providing first class news coverage across the many agricultural spectrums.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • producing five stories and features daily
  • writing analysis
  • responding to farmers query on farming advice

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:
  • first class written and verbal skills and have a working knowledge and expertise on agriculture,
  • tech savvy and research oriented
  • a knowledgeable interest in the Horticulture sector would be an advantage.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE:
  • outgoing,
  • confident and self-motivated and be
  • flexible to working throughout the country.

This is a demanding role suited to a hard-working, driven self-starter, who is capable of making a major contribution as part of a tight-knit team working at the highest level to tight deadlines.

Outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills are required.
