Job Opening: Sub-Editor/ Copy Editor for DRUM (South Africa)

DRUM has a vacancy for a skilled and experienced copy editor in its Johannesburg office.

Requirements

• isiZulu must be your mother tongue
• Be fully competent in written and spoken isiZulu
• Have studied isiZulu as a first language subject until grade 12
• Be able to read, write and speak English competently
• A tertiary qualification in African languages with a major in isiZulu
• At least three years' relevant experience in a newspaper or magazine editorial environment
• Ability and willingness to work overtime when deadlines demand it
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Be appropriately computer-literate
