MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The journalist/social media specialist is responsible for executing a clearly
defined social media strategy and as defined by the Real magazine editorial policy.
• Should make sure the strategies increase brand equity and awareness.
• Must evaluate, plan, organise, manage and contribute to social media channels to reach the brand targets and objectives.
• Identify and interpret social media trends.
• Plan, manage and implement all social media activities for the brand.
• Work in collaboration with digital project manager.
• Research and follow social media trends, policies and rules.
• Contribute in planning of magazine, come up with story ideas and write features for the magazine.
REQUIREMENTS
• Good communications and writing skills
• Able to multi task and meet targets
• Good networking skills
• Deadline driven.
• Be a team player and willing to work irregular hours.
• Experience using social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MXit, exposure to social bookmarking sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit etc.
