Do you have a passion for community news? If you can see yourself talking to different kinds of people every day, probing, investigating and writing lively stories, then we have just the job for you. The Tabletalk has a vacancy for a Reporter/Photographer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Find and write stories, and take pictures for the Tabletalk. • Work closely with other journalists and sometimes write general stories that can be used in other titles.
- Sometimes work over weekends or after hours to cover community events.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years proven journalistic experience, including writing in English and taking photographs
- A wide interest in and knowledge of the areas covered by Tabletalk.
- Be willing to work over weekends or after hours.
- A valid code 08 drivers' licence is essential (Please include a copy of your drivers'licence with your application).
This appointment will be made in line with the Cape Community Newspapers' employment equity plan.
