Stageworks Theatre is now accepting submissions of original, previously un-produced and unpublished full-length plays for consideration for a STAGED READING during our 2012 – 2013 Season. Preference is given to plays that encourage multi-racial casting. TWO (2) plays will be selected. Playwrights will receive, if their play is chosen, a staged reading with professional actors, director and the assistance of a nationally known dramaturg
GUIDELINES: (one submission per playwright, please)
- Previously unproduced and unpublished original work (no adaptations)
- Comedies & Dramas
- Minimal Set/Tech
- Cast: maximum: 6-8
SUBMISSION FEE: Waived (paid by an anonymous donor)
AWARDS: A staged reading at STAGEWORKS new theater space at Grand Central & Kennedy Blvd., a Dramaturg assigned from the Playwrights Center, Minneapolis, or Chicago Dramatists and a professional director and actors to give a public reading of the scripts chosen.
