Job Vacancy: Commissioning Editor for MNET (Gauteng, South Africa)

M-Net is wholly-owned by MultiChoice, and delivers premium thematic channels and exclusive content to DStv customers. We are looking for a Commissioning Editor.

OUTPUTS
  • Issue Content Briefs to Industry
  • Critically evaluate proposals ensuring that content aligns with Channel objectives
  • Evaluate proposed production budgets and determine feasibility of project and timelines
  • Manage the contracting process of the production company and all other legal requirements associated with the project and the execution thereof
  • Manage the Production by evaluating quality of the content, adherence to brief, monitor timelines and budget
  • Manage Internal and External Stakeholders
  • Research Industry Trends/Changes
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • A degree or national diploma in TV/Media/Scriptwriting/Drama
  • A minimum of 5 years production experience
  • Extensive knowledge about TV broadcasting
  • Legal and financial understanding and experience
  • Computer literacy (Excel critical, Word and PowerPoint); familiarity SYNERGY an advantage
