COURSE OUTLINE:
Each session looks at one of the four pillars of narrative writing, followed by some ‘out of the box’ exercises that will get your creative juices flowing.
- Session 1: Intro + Character How to create characters that aren’t cardboard cut-outs – getting to know your character intimately so you can predict how they will behave in your story.
- Session 2: Plot: Plot is structure, and structure is choice – it’s about how you choose to unveil various aspects of your story.
- Session 3: Dialogue and Setting: Deciding where and when your story will take place, and learning to paint pictures for your reader using all five of your – and their – senses.
