Free to Attend: Bittersweet Poetry Spoken Word Workshop (Play House, Zambia)

The Detroit, Michigan-based Hip Hop/ Spoken Word group Mahogany Jones-LIVE will tour Africa this fall as part of the American Music Abroad series. MAHOGANY JONES-LIVE will bring together an eclectic blend of Hip Hop, Soul and Electro Pop to craft a sound that is intimate and soulful, yet assertive. The instrumentation and lyricism of Mahogany Jones- LIVE carries the listener on exciting journeys of love, faith and social commentary. The music comes alive as elements of Hip Hop are deftly combined with live instruments to form a unique style and sound.

The American Embassy in conjunction with BitterSweet Poetry will be having Mahogany Jones in flesh for a Spoken Word Workshop next week (Wednesday, 14hrs to 17hrs) at Play House. Later in the evening, there will be a BitterSweet Poetry session. She will be sharing herself and you just have to be there to share in the experience.
