YouLi Workshop: Towards a New Format of School Literary Journals (Rwanda)

Date: 17 September 2012 (8:30am - 5pm)

Because we cannot ensure flexibility and proficiency in reading skills in our youth leaving behind the power of their writing skills, Youth Literacy Organisation is committed to work closely with Rwandan schools, educators and students by especially promoting aspiring writers and empowering them to become good story-tellers.

During this workshop, participants (mainly student-leaders, members of writing and media clubs in different secondary schools across Kigali) will learn how education institutions could use school journals to encourage a literary culture.

We will launch work with schools and student groups to draft and develop a plan for schools interested in developing their literary journals and we will continue to follow up through our mentoring program.

Schools interested in participating can contact us for registration.
