JOB DESCRIPTION:

Editing/Proofreading/writing of company deliverables - checking copy, grammar, structure and content.

Ongoing market monitoring - Take ownership and accountability for the provision of ongoing monitoring services. This involves, but not limited to the following:
  • Daily searching for relevant articles
  • Abstracting articles in line with legal requirements and the requirements of the client, in the correct font and format which is grammatically correct.
  • Ongoing source analysis and optimisation of the service
  • Monthly research, analysis and report development on client identified trends.
  • Monthly blog monitoring for competitor intelligence.
  • Content update for portal/becoming familiar with the insurance Market.
  • GIA newsletter distribution and management of sales leads.
  • Proofreading and becoming a grammar specialist.
Project work - When projects are initiated this role will be responsible for support in the project process. This can be in the following ways (but not limited too):
  • Desktop research.
  • Setting up interviews.
  • Telephonic interviews with respondents.
  • Analysis and insight generation into data.
  • Project presentation development and results analysis.
  • Capturing stakeholder/expert interviews.
General administration:
  • Distribution of marketing information.
  • General administration and support.
  • Management of email contact lists.
  • Minute taking.
  • Ownership of time management sheets.
  • Office administration for managing and sourcing suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS:

Non- negotiable (please don't apply unless you have the following):
  • At least two years' experience in writing/editing/proofreading.
  • Must have a degree/ or three year diploma.
Advantageous
  • Hard-working, goal-oriented, self-motivated.
  • Experience/knowledge of the financial services industry.
  • Excellent command of the English language (first language), and sound grammar and punctuation skills.
  • Ability to cope under pressure.
  • Ability to stick to tight deadlines.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Interact well with others.
  • Competent, confident.
  • Good understanding of business language.
  • Willing to learn and be taught.
  • Ability to multi-task.
