Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Secondary and Technical school was donated by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, whom it is named after, to the people of Kenya as a symbol of goodwill and friendship between the two countries.
Sheikh Khalifa, whose foundation stone was laid by the former Kenyan President H.E Danial Arap Moi in 1992 is situated on a 40 – acre site on the busy Mombasa – Malindi road about seven kilometers from Mombasa town centre.
All school activities are governed by Islamic principles and ideals. The staff and pupils are required to observe and respect the Islamic code of conduct. As the motto of the school (Al-ilm Wal Iman) indicates, Sheikh Khalifa strives hard to achieve academic excellence as well as impart strong Islamic values in its pupils. The school operates as a mixed day and boarding school with separate facilities for girls and boys. The teaching staff comprises a strong team of 52 degree and diploma holders. In addition to the core subjects, Arabic, business studies, Islamic religious education, home-science, history, agriculture and geography subject options are also offered.

Applicant must be holders of either a Bachelor of Education degree or relevant diploma, with a minimum teaching experience of three years. Pay and allowances are negotiable and commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
