Job Vacancy: Writer/ Sub Editor for Supermarket & Retailer (South Africa)

A well-established and thriving FMCG trade magazine publisher situated in North Eastern Johannesburg seeks an experienced Writer/Sub-editor. Grade 12 certificate, relevant tertiary qualification (Journalism, Media Studies, English), computer literacy, proven track record in both writing and editing and own transport required.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Excellent writing skills - portfolio required
  • English first language
  • Ability to make sure that writing flows, is logical and makes sense
  • Expertise in English spelling and grammar
  • Ability to cut, re-write, re-angle/alter copy to fit requirements
  • Proficient writing skills in online and print, news and features
  • Good understanding of business/retail
