Spoken Word Namibia Poetry Workshops at the American Cultural Center

Date: 18 - 19 March 2013

In Celebration of Women’s History Month the American Cultural Centre (ACC) presents 2 Workshops with Spoken Word Namibia conducted by American Poet Camille Dungy

The American Cultural Centre and Spoken Word are presenting 2 poetry workshops. The workshops will focus on enhancing the written work of poets. Traditionally, Spoken Word poets focus on performing their pieces, and we want to encourage and promote poetry that is compatible in multiple forms. We want poetry that is alive in its written form, and not solely as a performance piece.

The workshops will be held on Monday, 18 March 2013 from 17:30-19:00 and Tuesday, 19 March 2012 from 17:30-19:00. Interested Poets please inbox Spoken Word Namibia as soon as possible.

Interested poets must keep in mind that they need to send a poem by Friday, 8 March 2012. This piece will be used during the workshops. Let’s use this opportunity to further the word.
