Mr. Dike-Ogu Chukwumerije is a Master of the Spoken Word, Slam Champion and winner of the maiden edition of The African Poet Nigeria (TAPng) National Poetry Slam Competition.
Dike is a literary advocate, dedicated social activist and part of the 100Thousand Poets for Change in Abuja-Nigeria. His passion for change finds expression in his works. He has published several books, including the highly acclaimed poetry collection, "The Revolution Has No Tribe: Contemporary Poetry on African History, Culture and Society". One of his novels, "The African American", was long listed for the 2012 Wole Soyinka Prize for Literature.
His current book is titled; 'Urichindere' described as so funny you could get a headache from laughing too much. It's set in the 1990s and unveils the hilarious world of the typical Nigerian boarding school.

He befriends the charismatic Mac Jimmy, makes an enemy of Temlong, and discovers love and heartbreak along the way. But all the time his world is being threatened by wider socio-political events. Soon, his activist Uncle drags him and his entire family into the very heart of the swirling storm. And, there, Urichindere finds his deepest relationships severely tested.
