The Economist Group is looking for an Africa Editor to provide high quality editorial content for its peer group, research and events businesses in sub-Saharan Africa. This position is based in Johannesburg and reports to the Associate Editorial Director, middle east and Africa. The Africa Editor will run and develop the new Africa Business Group, including planning, Chair briefings and provide written materials and feedback to client. The succesful candidate must have experience in Business Journalism, consulting, research and a sound understanding of African Markets. Tertiary qualifications in Economics & fluent in French essential. The position requires flexibility and the ability to act indepandantly. Please note that this role is not part of the Economist Newspaper Editorial Team.
