Call for Submissions - I am Kush: Writings by Africans in Africa and Abroad

Deadline: 15 January 2011

A voice of young people and all those who cherish an Afrikan continent that is shaped by our own voices and deeds. This is what www.kush.co.za stands for. I'm the editor of this site and over the past 3 years the voice and passion to tell our story was muffled by the uncertainty of our progress as Afrikans. I have spent the last 4 years finding that voice again throughout our continent and today I stand with a strong belief that a collective voice by Afrikans is indeed the key to our local or national development. Please join me in reving the web portal as your voices need to be heard far and wide. The portal has been in existance for 10 years and has earned a place in Contemporary Afrikan urban culture. By sharing your work you will be contributing to an informed future for all Afrikans. All work can be set to nhamo@kush.co.za

Afrika 1st!

Please email me articles, photographs or design illustration that tell the Afrikan story from your perspective (urban worldview & cultural worldview). We are Afrikans and not apologetic about it. We want to create a dialogue of progress and an apprciation of our Artistic abililtes. Art is life and our lives as African is a story of many voices that uses art to cultivate optimism. The portal is non-profit project. We exist to create a platform for you the storytellers of our continent to engage our minds and hearts. We need to analyse every facet of our social life be in political, religion, media, social/rural development or cultural appreciation.

The portal is undergoing a revamp as I write this. Please can you submit you work for the 1st edition of this next decade by no later than the 15th of January 2011

Lets share our thinking to build an enformed society
