AfricanLiberty.org's New Essay Competition: Morality and Free Enterprise

Deadline: 30 April 2011

"It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker, that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest. ...." Adam Smith, The Wealth Of Nations, 1776 . In not more than 1500 words, say what could be morally wrong with the above statement? The essay is open to all undergraduate and recent graduates. Your essay should be in MS Word format and attached to an email sent by April 30, 2011 to adedayo.thomas@gmail.com and copy franklin.cudjoe@gmail.com. Prizes range from $500, $300, $200 and five $100 honorary mentions.
