Job Opening: Junior Journalist for Weigh-Less Health and Fitness Magazine (South Africa)

Competent, passionate, creative writer required for national health and wellness magazine based in Hillcrest, Durban. Willing to conceptualise editorial themes for the magazine, do thorough research for writing of features for print, digital media and marketing material. An interest in health and wellness is a bonus.

Requirements:

1. Degree/diploma majoring in English or journalism
2. Minimum two to three years of writing/journalism experience, preferably in a publishing environment (magazines and/or newspapers)
3. Strong writing and researching skills
4. The ability to conceptualise, and the creativity to bring new ideas to the table
5. The ability to uncover interesting story angles
6. High attention to detail
7. The ability to manage one's time effectively, meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Strong communication and people skills
• Hard worker, committed, positive
• Willing to go the extra mile
