Freelance Legal Reporter Wanted for Bloomberg BNA (South Africa)

Bloomberg BNA, a stand-alone subsidiary of Bloomberg LLP, is seeking a freelancer to cover legal and regulatory news in South Africa.

Applicants must have several years reporting experience working on daily deadlines, work well independently, and aggressively pitch story ideas.

Qualifications required include writing on daily deadline for U.S.-based readership, AP style skills, proven knowledge of government and legal processes in the region, and the ability to write clearly and concisely about complex topics. Ideal candidates will be self-starters who work well independently and communicate well with a number of editors.

Freelance positions offer a competitive pay rate commensurate with experience. Correspondents are expected to be file three or more stories a week.
