Inviting International Submissions: The Ilanot Review (Fall 2012 edition | worldwide)

The Ilanot Review publishes two themed issues a year, which invite submissions from English language poets and writers from anywhere in the world. The journal is now accepting submissions for the Fall 2012 edition. The theme of this edition is Foreign Bodies

SUBMISSION PERIOD: June 1 2011- Oct 30 2012

WE WELCOME SUBMISSIONS OF THE FOLLOWING:
  • Poetry − up to six poems – Please submit all work + bio in a single Word file. Submit up to six poems, with one poem per page. Poets: Please include your name and contact information on each page.
  • Fiction – a short story of up to 5000 words
  • Creative non-fiction – an essay of up to 5000 words
  • Memoir – a personal essay of up to 5000 words
  • Travel writing – an essay of up to 5000 words
  • Flash fiction – short shorts -between 250-500 words

We also welcome translations of original work, providing the translator has obtained permission from the author. Previously unpublished translations preferred. Be sure to include the original poem/story in Word format.

PLEASE NOTE:
  • Do include a short bio (50 -75 words) with your submission.
  • We will consider simultaneous submissions provided that you indicate this upon submission and retract your work immediately if it is accepted for publication elsewhere.
