Job Opening: Deputy Editor for Fashion, Lifestyle and Travel Magazine (Media Nova, Johannesburg)

Media Nova, a dynamic, multi-award winning magazine and digital publishing house seeks an energetic deputy editor to work across a number of titles. The candidate will drive the magazine's editorial delivery against strategy and will be instrumental in overseeing major parts of the editing, writing and design of the magazines. This job will suit self-motivated people, with great can-do attitude that are eager to develop in new areas. Being a team member is essential. Personality and humour mandatory.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Media Nova was formed over nine years ago to publish The Property Magazine, physically the largest magazine in South Africa and currently across four regional editions and now one new national digital (tablet) edition (with over 200 pages). In doing so the magazine has won 10 publishing awards, from innovation and best magazine through various dimensions of our editorial package. During those nine years we've set up and recently re-launched Sandton magazine, expanded into custom publishing with a number of titles and provided a product set within our titles that truly offers clients a wide range of solutions for their marketing needs. With a partner company of ours recently being awarded an in-flight magazine contract and with numerous other custom titles in the portfolio we're on the hunt for extremely talented people. We try to look at things differently, sometimes we get it really right, sometimes less so, but in doing so and with our clients at our side we enjoy pushing the boundaries and challenging convention.
