Job Opening: Web Editor/ Online Coordinator for Film & Event Media (South Africa)

You will be responsible for helping the editor in any way necessary for both print and web products, including but not limited to;

• Manage the websites and give direction regarding updates, maintenance of the sites, as well uploading our print publications onto our websites.

• Manage and populate social media networks.

• Design and create web banner/adverts, e-mailers and on-line newsletters.

• Writing, research, sub-editor, proof reading, design and layout pages, manage traffic, and chasing artwork, pictures, sign off, etc. for print and web.

• Liaising with the layout and design team, advertising sales team, editor, researcher and data capturer, in order to co-ordinate the production of each publication and web on a monthly basis.

• The initiation and development of new projects.

• Assist with drafting and submission of concept and business proposals to the editor and other necessary role-players in both industries (film and MICE) in order to grow both the business and integrity of the publications and web.

• Year planning, features planning, assigning journalists to articles, liaising with journalists and the industries (film and MICE) in order to keep up to date with industry trends and developments, growths, opportunities, weakness etc.

• Basic development and coding knowledge

• Attend certain functions when necessary

Please note that you may on occasion be required to perform tasks that are not part of your normal duties, but may necessary due to the operational requirements of the Company.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • A relevant qualification in IT

REMUNERATION: R6000 - R8000 per month cost to company Depending on experience
