Call for Entries: Zaccheus Onumba Dibiaezue Library Short Story Competition (Nigeria)

Do you have a flair for writing? Fancy yourself as the next Chimamanda Adichie? Then send your short stories to us and you could win a short story anthology and have your work featured in our November newsletter!

GUIDELINES:
  • Entries should be no more than 3,000 words long and should begin with the following sentence:
  • He stepped away from the door and closed his eyes.
  • The story must be fiction and an original work by the author.
  • The author accepts that ZODML has the right to reproduce the story in whole or in part. ZODML will however not make any such reproduction for financial gain. If the story has been published before, the year and where it was published should be stated.
  • Entries should be sent by e-mail accompanied by a very short author bio. The winner will be notified in advance of publication and will be presented with his/her prize at our main library on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.
