Job Vacancy: Female Journalist at Abuja Food (Nigeria)

Abujafood.com is an innovative internet based business that provides leads generation for local businesses in Abuja using its website, social media and search engines to generate targeted traffic and leads to business pages containing information about the businesses whose services we promote.

We are in search of a female writer/ journalist who can produce online content such as articles, web videos and other informative content. She must be a great writer with an interest in a vast range of topics that cuts across popular culture, lifestyle, city news and politics. In addition she should be vast in the use of social media especially facebook, twitter, google plus, online niche blogs, wikis and so on.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • A first degree in Mass Communication or related discipline from any recognized University.
  • At least 1 year experience in writing informative articles, reports and other engaging content preferably with a media organization in Nigeria
  • Proven online proficiency such as blogging, Search Engine Optimization knowledge and internet marketing etc will be an added advantage but not compulsory
  • She must be based in Abuja.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Write informative and news worthy pieces (articles, reports etc)
  • Promote online content of Abujafood.com on various social media
  • Assist in links building
  • Work with other team members to promote Abujafood.com brand
  • Other responsibilities spelled out to her by the Managing Director
SALARY: The advertised position is a fulltime job (9am till 5pm Monday to Friday) and the salary is competitive.
