Freelance Technology Reporters Wanted at HumanIPO (West Africa)

HumanIPO is a community of people creating something new in Africa – starting businesses, investing in new technologies or joining startups.

Startups get to post their pitch on HumanIPO platform and receive valuable feedback, grow their network, find co-founders, investors or employees. HumanIPO is also behind East Africa’s largest co-working space in Nairobi.

We are looking for tech journalists to write original articles for the growing tech news section on www.humanipo.com. Reporters will submit stories on the technology sector in West Africa on a pay-per-article basis.

Duties Successful applicants will be expected to write news and feature stories on the tech sector in the region, covering topics such as new technology, startup companies, funding, mobile devices, tablets, social media etc.

Applicants should have:
  • A genuine love for the internet and new technology
  • Excellent English
  • Proven writing and reporting skills
  • A desire to report breaking news on a growing sector
  • Previous journalism experience desirable
  • Knowledge of the African tech sector not required but would be beneficial
