Central Florida Association of Black Journalists Literacy Month Essay Contest

Deadline: 29 October 2012 (5pm)

The CFABJ Literacy Month Essay Contest is open to youth, aged 9-18. Submit an essay on a book you have read recently and how that book relates to your life. Three (3) grand-prize winners will be chosen to receive a VIP tour of the Orlando Magic’s locker room and tickets to an Orlando Magic game!

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5- paragraph minimum for 4th-12th graders
  • Essays will be judged on focus, organization, supporting details and conventions (grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, etc.)
The first 50 submissions will receive gift certificates to Flippers Pizzeria!
