Idea-Vation Innovation and Creativity Workshop (Writers' Guild of South Africa | Auckland Park)

Date: 23 February 2013 (9am)

THE BIG BLANK: Actually, it doesn’t have your name on it. It doesn’t have anything on it at all – being the dreaded white page, the No 1 most horrifying fear for all writers (refer to deadlines, bank balance, contracts, copyright and script notes for No’s 2 - 6). But never fear – as with all the other scary pitfalls of our profession, the Writers’ Guild has your back. Join Innovation Maestro Nico Steyn and Script Consultant Julie Hall for:

IDEA-VATION: A WGSA INNOVATION & CREATIVITY MASTERCLASS

This is a wake-up and shake-up workshop to wipe all the cobwebs off your creative brain and get you thinking in fresh new ways to conquer all those problem areas in your work, from getting stale on the same series to problem protagonists, sticky, sickly scenes and to initial concept ideas be they for movies, series, formats, trans-media or trans-vestite (don’t be cross, just dress however you like!).
It’s going to be fun, playful and filled with useful tips to help you with creativity and productivity, so bring an open mind and a willingness to participate.

Cover charge for: WGSA member and members of LAMP and SASFED and students with a student card (Johannesburg): R200.00. Non Members: R350.00
