Chronicle Media's A PICTURE'S WORTH Writing Contest (Kenya)

Deadline: 2 March 2013

A writer’s pen is his paint, and papers his canvas. With the gift of words he paints beautiful pictures about the world. And as the vintage adage goes; a picture is worth a thousand words. Therefore, Campus Chronicles invites student writers to use their imagination in writing a story about the picture provided above. Let your mind go free. Get out of your comfort zones and paint a picture in our minds about the above illustrated image. You are allowed to do poetry or prose-whatever’s your brand vodka. Of course the word limit is 1000 words.

It is simple really. Just tell a story with traction that relates to the picture. The title of the story does not count in the word count, but a unique title earns you points. The person with the highest response in terms of comments, and social media acclamation wins.

Entries should be sent to the editor by e-mail or visit our site and upload your contribution to the contribute tab on the website. Winner gets a feature on the next issue of Campus Chronicles and 500 bob airtime.
