Job Vacancy: Social Media Editor at Media Max (Cairo, Egypt)

Media Max is a new name of a group consisting of prominent media experts in different communication forms and styles such as television, digital and printed media. Media Max's main target is to help the delivery process of our clients' voice and messages to their specific audience.

We are looking for a SOCIAL MEDIA EDITOR.

As Community Editor / Social Media Editor you will be responsible for managing the social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook etc.).

You will need to manage the accounts in a creative way with the ability to understand the news agenda and be able to come up with creative ideas to present the news on the social media platforms.

The Community Editor / Social Media Editor overall goal of the role is to improve and increase the value of audience involvement in the content, increase engagement and help drive increased referrals from social back to my clients site.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Work with channels on a daily basis to ensure that are getting the best out of social media platforms to tell stories, involve and
  • engage the audience, using best practice
  • Suggest and champion stories that would be improved with added value in-line comments
  • Track and monitor daily / weekly / monthly social stats and work with Head of Social to help identify areas for improvements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience of executing stories in social
  • A clear track record, with emphasis on news, sport and lifestyle
  • Must be an idea person with the ability to come up with the updates on daily basis
